The internal medicine service of Day Hospital consists of the following departments.

  • Nephrology ward
  • Hematology-oncology ward
  • Gastrointestinal diseases ward
  • Neurology ward
  • Endocrine ward
  • Rheumatology ward


Cardiac Diseases Ward


  • controlling the digested and excreted liquids; collecting urine samples; requesting tests and pursuing the results; requesting graphs; CT Scan; MRI (and follow-ups); renal biopsy; sending the requested samples to the pathology laboratory or outside; setting appointments for obtaining the requested graphs (outsourced).
  • Requesting and injecting blood and blood products needed by the patients
  • Preparing the endoscopy equipment, ERCP colonoscopy, placing and maintaining N/G tubes, requesting tests (ascites tap and renal biopsy); and sending the requested samples
  • Conducting NCV, EMG, EEG, LP, and VEP
  • Pulse therapy
  • Requesting counseling, bone scan and whole body appointments, Bone Mineral Densitometry and synovial fluid tap
  • Bronchoscopy, pleural fluid tap (sending the samples), apnea holters, sleep tests, respiration tests
  • Central venous catheter (CVC) placement, fistula place, and CVP placement
  • Placing drains in the bile ducts, and intra-spinal injection (intra-spinal chemotherapy)
  • Skin care
  • Preparation for angiography and EECP
